SkyePoint is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the Department of States (DOS) Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT) Division. This is a hybrid position in Washington, DC, working 1-2 days per week, with location and schedule subject to change based on government requirements.

Responsibilities:

Create, test, and deploy software packages using enterprise tools such as Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM).

Create, test, and deploy MS OS images for workstations/laptops (local and remote).

Configure, test, and deploy Active Directory Group Policies.

Evaluate and recommend next-generation mobile desktop hardware solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve software deployment issues.

Coordinate software package deployments.

Collaborate with network and system admin technicians to resolve installation problems.

Provide status reports to management.

Operational Duties:

Respond to escalated hardware, software, network, firewall, and storage issues.

Evaluate and support operational changes and security enhancements.

Review and assess mobile applications for enterprise use.

Test and integrate enterprise apps into the mobile environment.

Perform backups and disaster recovery operations.

Interface with vendors for hardware/software issues and future enhancements.

Maintain operational documentation, including SOPs and design diagrams.

Participate in meetings and working groups.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and 9 years related experience.
• 5-10 years in IT engineering, focusing on desktop deployments and Microsoft products.
• 3+ years with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
• Experience with VPN, network fundamentals, and firewalls.
• Recent experience building and managing Windows images and deploying OS patches.
• Active Directory experience, including Group Policies.
• Support activities like SOP development, incident resolution, and system monitoring.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with anti-virus, encryption, PKI, and Microsoft Defender.

Clearance:

Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with enterprise mobile management vendors (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft).
• Experience with ServiceNow, DoS environment, FAHs, FAMs.
• Familiarity with InTune, Active Role Server, and management consoles.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Understanding of firewall rules and MDM interoperability.
