Cimarron is seeking a Mission Unique Equipment (MUE) Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs area in Colorado.

Primary duty hours are scheduled between 0600 and 1800, Monday through Friday, with occasional requirements for after-hours, extended shifts, or weekend support.

Key Duties:

  • Participate in IT project teams to develop technical solutions and support ongoing system sustainment.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support to resolve break-fix issues and hardware/software conflicts.
  • Install, configure, and support mission-specific software, workstation setups, and system administration tasks.
  • Install and support IT infrastructure components, including Fiber Optic, Cat6, COAX, and audio/video cabling.
  • Test and install system patches, assess the impact of customer requests, and assist in IT project planning and design.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of multi-user systems by coordinating with network administrators.
  • Support the requirements process by reviewing bills of materials, traceability matrices, and cost estimates.
  • Recommend hardware and software purchases based on industry standards, coordinate installations, and manage backup recovery solutions.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at the time.
  • This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your ID is Real ID-compliant, please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your driver's license or state ID.
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • 5 or more years of directly related experience.
  • Direct experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) at the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 11 operating systems, Microsoft Office products, and Visio.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Experience performing remote system administration.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs to support hardware and infrastructure tasks.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces as required for IT project implementation.
  • Possession of a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE).
  • Experience using the Remedy and Aspen applications.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies, new situation, and short deadlines.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Be highly adaptable and demonstrate a strong commitment to collaboration in a team-oriented environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 8 or more years of experience, or Associate degree and 6 or more years of experience (or higher).

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Experience with fiber termination and splicing.
  • Prior experience supporting the GM customer.
  • Possession of a GM Basic or Configuration Certificate.
  • Familiarity with audio visual systems.
  • Experience using Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Knowledge of DoD and DISA Information Assurance programs.
  • Understanding of Missile Defense systems, DoD communications, and MDIOC operations.
  • Degree in an IT or engineering-related discipline.
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience working with facility-related technical drawings and network topology.
