Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Mission Support Manager to provide leadership within the Radiological Controls department for one of the nation's most complex environmental cleanup projects. This role is critical to ensuring radiological compliance and maintaining safe and effective operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to health physics professionals, technicians, and supervisors to ensure sound radiation protection practices.
  • Manage departmental activities in alignment with work management policies, procedures, and project schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Promote a positive, safety-conscious, and collaborative work environment.
  • Implement Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS), Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), and Environmental Management System (EMS) responsibilities.
  • Allocate resources, assign and track tasks, evaluate performance, and provide professional development opportunities.
  • Mentor, train, coach, and counsel staff to enhance professional growth and improve work quality.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in programs, projects, and deliverables.
  • Support the achievement of organizational goals through strong decision-making and accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • Grade 21: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least 12 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Grade 22: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least 15 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (This grade requires broader responsibility and a higher performance level than Grade 21.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as a National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologist (NRRPT) or Certified Health Physicist (CHP).
  • Demonstrated record of continuous improvement in the radiological field.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: Starting at $142,038, depending on qualifications and scope of responsibility.
