Your work will influence mission-critical decisions, and you'll collaborate closely with analysts, operators, data scientists, and other engineers to solve complex, evolving technical challenges with precision and creativity.
Here's What Your Day-to-Day Might Include:- Engineering custom solutions in support of national security objectives
- Reverse engineering software and systems to identify capabilities, vulnerabilities, and integration paths
- Designing and prototyping new capabilities tailored to mission constraints
- Augmenting or evolving existing toolsets to improve mission agility and responsiveness
- Interfacing directly with mission users and leadership to understand pain points and deliver solutions
- Translating abstract requirements into tactical, operable, and scalable solutions
- Working across Linux, Windows, and embedded environments
- Providing ongoing support for fielded capabilities while continuously pushing forward innovation
Minimum Qualifications:- Clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Education and Experience:
- 12 years of relevant experience with a B.S. in a technical discipline
- 10 years with a Master's
- OR 4 additional years of SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Required Skills:- Experience developing CNO-specific software across Linux, Windows, and/or embedded platforms
- Proficiency with reverse engineering tools (especially Ghidra)
- Strong programming experience with C, C++, and Python
- Ability to prototype, iterate, and deploy within mission constraints
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git and Subversion
- Experience using Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
- Willingness and adaptability to learn new technologies quickly in response to mission needs
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate directly with mission stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:- Knowledge of additional languages such as: Java, JavaScript, Bash, Assembly (x86/x64), PowerShell, Perl, C#, or Rust
- Experience with vulnerability research and exploit development
- Understanding of SIGINT collection and analysis systems
- Familiarity with production-level CNO capabilities and operations
- Background in offensive security, red teaming, or penetration testing
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous or dynamic mission environments
Compensation Range: $190,000.00 - $251,000.00*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate's background and suitability for the role.
