Description The Williamsburg House of Mercy is seeking a Mission Coordinator. The Mission Coordinator at the Williamsburg House of Mercy is responsible for the daily function of all client facing programs. RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS: • Daily management of the Harbor Day Shelter and HOPE Pregnancy Center • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers on policies, procedures, and clientresource practices. • Create and manage volunteer schedules to ensure adequate coverage at day shelter and pregnancy center. • Connecting clients to WHOM wrap around services and programs (food pantry, job fairs/referrals, on-site basic health screenings). • Ensure client confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations. • Input all client data into Charity Tracker software for organizational compliancy and data tracking. • Monitor program expenses and identifying inventory needs to programs and operations team. • Develop outreach initiatives to connect with potential new clients and partner with community members/stakeholders for collaboration. • Represent WHOM at community events and build relationships with key stakeholders. • Ensure communication to clients for all special programs and events • Assist in financial outreach assistance initiative in collaboration with faith group partners and the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula • Collaborate with James City County School system on the School Fund grant • Attend events carried out by other WHOM staff approximately 6x/year (will sometimes involve nights/weekends) RequirementsWORKING CONDITIONS: • Work is completed in at 10 Harrison Avenue and occasionally at the WHOM Warehouse. • Lifting of less than 50 pounds and bending. • If local travel is required, there is use of your personal vehicle and gas will be reimbursed for travel excessive of 15 miles from Williamsburg. • This position requires attendance during regular business hours from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. • Occasional night and weekend hours are required for special events and community engagements • This role requires some flexibility with scheduling to meet the needs of WHOM Programs and Events SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's Degree with a preference in social work or 2-3 years of experience at a human services nonprofit • Bilingual or conversational Spanish speaking ability • Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage a team of volunteers. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, volunteers, and community partners. • Ability to track budgets and expenses. • Commitment to the mission and values of the Williamsburg House of Mercy.
