Job DescriptionAssistant MIS Manager – Information Technology Leadership OpportunityDepartment: Management Information Systems (MIS)Job Classification: ExemptLocation: Santa Fe Springs CABase Salary range : $75K-85KEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout The RoleAre you an experienced IT professional with a passion for operational excellence and team leadership? We are seeking an Assistant MIS Manager to support and drive critical IT functions across the organization. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the MIS Manager to manage the performance, security, and continuous improvement of all information systems—empowering business operations and enabling digital transformation.This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who enjoys solving complex technical problems, mentoring IT teams, and working cross-functionally to drive innovation and efficiency.Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all IT systems and applications remain functional, secure, and optimized to meet daily business demands.
- Safeguard digital assets and uphold the integrity of information across enterprise platforms.
- Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors (including JDE consultants, network engineers, and other IT partners).
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead, train, and support the MIS staff, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Support system upgrades, installations, conversions, and audits (including J-SOX compliance).
- Maintain and oversee IT infrastructure including servers, networks, operating systems, and peripherals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on IT strategy, digital transformation, and systems enhancement initiatives.
- Participate in internal audits and help ensure ongoing regulatory and policy compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT or MIS roles, including leadership responsibilities.
- Solid understanding of system analysis, network and server maintenance, and IT compliance standards.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Japanese language proficiency is a strong plus.
