Millwright Journeyman - Mortenson : Job Details

Mortenson is currently seeking a millwright journeyman.RESPONSIBILITIESA. Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work proceduresB. Dismantle machines using hand toolsC. Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucksD. Assemble and install equipment (such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails) using hand and power toolsE. Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rulers, lasers, micrometers, and plumb bobsF. Assemble machines with bolts, welds, and rivets, and fasten them to foundation using hand tools and power toolsG. May operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specificationsH. Set, level, and align all classes and types of engines, motors, dynamos, generators, conveyors, elevators, monorails, train rails, and/or trolley beams or railsI. Install all lubrication systems on all machinesJ. Clean, repair, and adjust all classes and types of jacks, chainfalls, pull-lift, block and tackles, impact wrenches, chipping hammers, rivet guns, air drills, and specialized hydraulic and electric precision torque/tension equipmentK. Operate cranes, forklifts, hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, power tools, and other materialsL. Receive and offload all major componentsM. Install loose components for Nacelle, hub, and tower preparationN. Connect blades to hubO. Set base and tower sectionsP. Handle taglinesQ. Assist with main erection crane assembly and teardownR. Climb ladders - average 80m S. Drill and/or tap all holes on turbines, generators, compressors, and pumpsT. Torque/tension any bolted connectionQUALIFICATIONSRepetitive hand, arm, leg movements* Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
