This role is critical in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for custom millwork projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and production data. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of millwork materials and manufacturing processes.Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements related to millwork.
• Identify key cost factors including materials, labor, production time, and installation.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and project management teams to gather accurate data.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to gather firsthand information.
• Use estimating software and spreadsheets to develop detailed cost breakdowns.
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive estimate reports and bid packages.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Provide input on project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in estimating, preferably in millwork, cabinetry, or construction.
• Familiarity with millwork materials, manufacturing processes, and installation methods.
• Strong math and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Timberline, Excel, or similar tools).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
