Migratory Bird Program CT DEEP'S Wildlife Division is seeking to hire an Environmental Protection Seasonal Resource Assistant as part of the Migratory Bird program. Position begins March 21, 2025, and ends in September 2025. Responsibilities include: conducting bird surveys throughout the State, assisting with the capture of passerines, marshbirds, and waterfowl, conducting insect collections across the State, and performing spatial analysis of habitat variables using ArcGIS.
Selection PlanNext Step: If selected for an interview, applicants will be contacted by the division's hiring supervisor, anticipated for March/April 2025. If offered employment, new hires must complete all paperwork prior to their first day, including providing a state-issued ID and documents for Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9 form). Preferred QualificationsSome positions may require emergency first aid certification, a valid Motor Vehicle Operator license, pesticide license, or EMT certification. Lifeguard services require ARC Lifeguarding Certification, including CPR and First Aid.
Physical RequirementsMust possess adequate physical strength and stamina. Lifeguard roles require demonstrating ARC waterfront swimming skills.
