About The Company Our client is a global leader in alternative asset management specializing in private equity, credit, and real estate investments. With a focus on value-oriented and opportunistic investing, it has built a reputation for acquiring and transforming complex or undervalued assets. The Middle Office Associate will play a critical role in trade support, account onboarding, portfolio rebalancing, and client services across the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee trade processing across various asset classes including physical settlements, repurchase agreements, bank loans, CLOs, and primary market deals.
  • Monitor and resolve trade issues, inquiries from clients, front office, brokers, and custodians to ensure timely and accurate settlement.
  • Manage and oversee collateral processing activities ensuring accurate and timely execution of margin calls, substitutions, and reporting.
  • Process and review investment funding transactions ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and reconcile all wire/funding activity.
  • Perform and enforce SOC-1 and SOX control procedures, maintaining compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with senior management to drive continuous improvements in workflows, automation, and operational efficiencies.
  • Assist with all position and transaction reconciliation discrepancies related to functions and processes.
  • Assist with new client, asset, and portfolio onboarding.
  • Support technology and business initiatives including system enhancements, workflow automation, and data integrity projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • 5-7 years of trade operations/middle office experience.
  • Experience in the investment management/asset management industry.
  • Familiarity with physical settlements, repurchase agreements, bank loans, CLOs, and primary market deal settlements required.
  • Strong technology skills with Bloomberg, Excel, VBA, SQL, CTM, DTCC Alert, and/or SWIFT.

Salary Range $125,000-$135,000
