RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Microsoft Business Consultant, you will work closely with customer stakeholders to uncover both explicit and implicit business requirements, educate them on Microsoft 365 and Power Platform best practices, and collaborate with project teams to modernize legacy systems. Your role will be critical in designing, testing, and implementing solutions that deliver measurable business value and align with strategic goals.
- Lead client engagements including meetings, workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to understand goals, processes, and pain points, translating them into actionable business requirements.
- Gather and analyze business requirements to define transformation strategies using modern Microsoft technologies like M365, SharePoint Online, and Power Platform.
- Educate clients on M365 capabilities, benefits, and limitations to assist the project team in tailoring solutions that align with their unique business goals.
- Facilitate product demonstrations and future-state visioning exercises to bring requirements to life and inspire stakeholder alignment.
- Define functional specifications including workflows and business processes to support strategic and operational needs on the Microsoft platform.
- Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into effective technology strategies and working solutions.
- Support user acceptance testing by developing test scripts, leading execution, and assisting with training and adoption activities.
- Deliver tailored training sessions and workshops to end users, site owners, and business champions, promoting best practices and responsible adoption.
- Create documentation including detailed requirements, user stories, guides, and knowledge articles to support stakeholder understanding and client self-sufficiency.
- Continuously learn and adapt by staying current on emerging Microsoft 365 and Power Platform features, trends, and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS - Functional knowledge of Microsoft 365 Collaboration Tools
- Demonstrated experience gathering requirements from legacy systems and assisting with the design of modern M365 solutions. Example solutions include, SharePoint Online modern intranets, document management using SharePoint Online and SharePoint Premium, forms modernization, and workflow automation.
- Functional knowledge of Power Platform, specifically Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Proven track record consulting with enterprise clients, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to educate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Experience driving user adoption and change management initiatives, including crafting training and communications artifacts.
- Ability to create compelling end-user materials and deliver engaging workshops.
Preferred skills and education:
- Experience with data migration and legacy system modernization a huge plus
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-900, PL-200, MS-700, MS-102
