Microbiology Services Director - Georgia Department of Public Health : Job Details

This leadership position is responsible for the oversight of scientific and administrative Microbiology laboratory operations. This position works directly with Department of Public Health programmatic and epidemiology to guide development and oversee testing. Maintains a culture of quality to assure the delivery of accurate and timely results using proper safety precautions for the Microbiology service areas. Job Responsibilities Plans, organizes, and directs the laboratory activities for Microbiology Services. Conducts or participates in the development, review, revision, interpretation, and/or implementation for policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. Coordinates interaction between department, agency, and facility operating units, other programs, and /or external customers as appropriate.
