Position: Microbiology Lab Associate

Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ

Duration: 12 months

What You'll Do

Perform microbiological testing of pharmaceutical products, raw materials, and medical devices in a BSL-2 laboratory.

Execute USP, ASTM, ISO, and CLSI methods (e.g., sterility, microbial limits, time-kill, MIC/MBC).

Maintain cultures, perform CFU counts, and handle studies in a biosafety cabinet under GLP conditions.

Accurately document results in lab notebooks following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Support equipment qualifications, calibration, and assist in lab investigations (OOS, OOT, deviations).

Work independently or as part of a team to manage and prioritize testing with minimal supervision.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, or Chemistry.

1+ years of lab experience in microbiology (QC or R&D) within pharma, medical devices, personal care, or cosmetics.

Hands-on experience in a BSL-2 lab using aseptic techniques.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to follow SOPs.

Familiarity with GLP/GDP, and optionally GxP environments.

Preferred: experience with LIMS, and involvement in lab investigations (OOS/OOT).
