Salary: $37.58 - $48.86 HourlyLocation : Holland, MIJob Type: Full-TimeJob Number: 28300013Department: Community Mental HealthOpening Date: 07/29/2025Closing Date: 8/19/2025 5:00 PM EasternFLSA: ExemptBargaining Unit: Unclassified Job DescriptionResponsible for supervising contracts with behavioral health agencies and internal clinical staff who conduct assessments, make diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and provide direct services to children with mental illness and co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders. Provides clinical supervision to staff as needed. May deliver direct mental health services to consumers assigned to team. Provides oversight to medical staff and works with the Program Supervisor providing oversite to team prescribers. This is a full-time, benefited position based out of the James Street Campus in Holland. Typical working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Essential Job Functions The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Assures that services to consumers meet standards of quality and quantity. Quality standards include ensuring consumers are treated in a manner consistent with agency policy, divisional standards, and good clinical practice. Quantity standards require demonstrating units of service provided reflect adherence to goals set for the program.Supervises evidence based practices within department and may provide supervision as necessary.Adequately manages staff resources to provide optimal service provision to Ottawa County residents. Participates in hiring, management, and evaluation of professional and support staff. Assures that clinicians are receiving clinical supervision and may provide clinical supervision to select clinicians.Works seamlessly with contractual agencies to ensure requirements of clinical care are met.Provides training to contractual agencies on agency policy, procedures, goals and electronic medical record.Provides oversite to medical staff including team prescribers in conjunction with Program Supervisor.Establishes/plans/implements program priorities, goals, and outcomes in cooperation with the Program Supervisor, other Clinical Supervisors, and Clinicians, including responsibility for the program's achievement of planned productivity.Participates in the development and management of agency contracts applicable to the respective program.Monitors management reports dealing with productivity, consumer service, and expense/revenue.Provides authorization of individual and program expenses incurred by the contractual agencies.Assures that staff adequately perform their job functions via periodic review of clinical documentation, units of service provided, and general job performance.Provides community education regarding mental health issues.Provides quality direct consumer care encompassing assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, therapy, and case management as appropriate.Maintains all agency paperwork and clinical record documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.Understands and implements agency and county personnel policies and the collective bargaining agreement.Performs other functions as assigned. Required Education, Training and Experience Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related mental health field with a minimum of two years working with children in a clinical setting. Lived experiences with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders are valued. For those supervising staff who work with children/adolescents, must have or attain certification as CAFAS reliable rater, and must complete 24 hours child specific training annually.Licenses and Certifications: Must possess or obtain State of Michigan licensure or certification (LLP, LMSW, LPC, etc.) Additional Requirements and Information Required Knowledge and Skills: Thorough working knowledge of the principles and practices of social work, psychology, and the treatment of children with mental health and/or substance use disorders.Thorough knowledge of the principles of family systems.Thorough working knowledge of effective leadership techniques, independent problem solving, conflict resolution, team building, and interagency collaboration.Thorough working knowledge of the principles and practices of clinical assessment and diagnosis, and the DSM-5 criteria.Thorough working knowledge of MDHHS accreditation requirements and mental health care practitioner licensing requirements.Good working knowledge of the principles and practices of community-based mental health services.Demonstrates the capacity to work effectively within agency parameters.Good working knowledge of managerial and supervisory principles and practices.Good working knowledge of relevant Evidence-Based Practices, relevant to specific target populations.Good working knowledge of varied interventions.Ability to write clear and concise evaluation reports, progress notes, and other necessary documentation.Participates with and accepts clinical and administrative supervision.Shows willingness to learn and use new skills and takes advantage of regular training and staff development opportunities and resources.Thorough working knowledge of the principles and practices of medical record documentation and medical records management.Good working knowledge of program assessment and quality assurance principles, practices, protocols and instruments.Excellent interpersonal communication skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Computer literacy and working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, database and project management software.Physical Requirements:Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations, including, but not limited to, visual and/or audio logical appliances and devices to increase mobility.
