Mental Health RN Administrator - Discovery Behavioral Health : Job Details

The RN Nurse Administrator is responsible for facility regulation compliance - supervises, heads and coordinates nursing activities and nursing personnel. This is a supervisory position and leadership position at the facility. Responsibilities. Teach abuse prevention. On call for med passes when there are call outs or no shows. Pass medications when needed, stock and organize PRN meds and perform chart audits weekly. Complete pharmacy audits monthly (with outside person) and medication error report. Create Nursing Care Plans at admission and as needed thereafter. Obtain admission and discharge orders from doctors. Interface with pharmacy for issues/questions. Supervise all nursing staff and participate in 90-day and annual reviews. Will be in charge of developing and maintaining the schedule for nursing Interface with medical referents upon admission and discharge preparation (i.e. PCP, N - Ps, etc.)Provide medical training to staff as needed.
