Mental Health Clinician for LGBTQ+ Clients - The Home for Little Wanderers : Job Details

Provide clinical services; act as a liaison with collateral agencies and programs; establish and maintain relationships/services that support children and family growth for LGBTQIA persons. Act as an advocate for families; educate parents on advocating for themselves and their children. Utilize treatment modalities that are consistent with WPATH standards of care, program goals and agency protocol and that best fit with clients' age and treatment needs, including play/expressive therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. Perform initial assessments and evaluations of new clients and families. Identify treatment needs and barriers to growth and development. Design treatment plans that address needs and specify outcomes. Collaborate with clients and family members to develop treatment objectives. Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity.
