The City of Indianola is currently welcoming applications for the full time position of Member Service Coordinator at the Indianola Wellness Campus.

The City of Indianola (pop.16,069) is a growing community with a historic downtown, located approximately 15 minutes south of Des Moines. It is a safe community with Midwestern values, friendly people, and excellent schools. Indianola, which is home to Simpson College, the world-renowned Des Moines Metro Opera, and the National Balloon Museum and U.S. Ballooning Hall of Fame, is known for its excellent access to outdoor activities, a nice trail system, five major parks, and two golf courses. The community welcomes thousands of visitors annually who come to Indianola to enjoy major events such as the National Balloon Classic, the Warren County Fair, and other events.

This position is responsible for a number of tasks, including, but not limited to:

  • Supervises part-time staff
  • Oversees day-to-day front desk and learn and play operations
  • Manages the scheduling of staff
  • Ensures all member services staff comply with all Wellness Campus policies and procedures
  • Assists in creating a marketing plan with other leadership team members to promote membership
  • Prepares and submits payroll paperwork and time/attendance information as required by Wellness Campus policies and procedures and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' experience in customer service/management in a setting or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Ability to solve problems, handle sensitive public and department contacts, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, work independently, evaluate work performance, supervise employees and volunteers
  • Computer knowledge and use of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff, clients, and public and private agencies.

The salary for this position is $62,519.08/year or $30.05/hour. This position has a comprehensive benefits package that includes vacation, sick leave, personal leave, life insurance and AD&D, short and long-term disability, health, dental, and vision insurance, HSA, retirement, tuition reimbursement, and an employee assistance program. This is a non-union, full-time, non-exempt position.
