Medical Technologist - PRIDE Health : Job Details

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Technologist I to support our client's medical facility based in Gaithersburg MD 20877. This is a 5-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Medical Technologist I

Location: Gaithersburg MD 20877

Pay Range: $70-$76 per hour

Schedule: 11p-7:30a, Tuesday- Saturday. -Third shift EST

Duration: 5+ Months (with potential for extension)

*Pay rate is based on years of experience and educational qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and non-routine lab testing and report results with precision and accuracy.

Follow all protocols for specimen handling, test analysis, and result reporting.

Analyze specimens using established procedures; review and release test results.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of tests, calibrations, quality control, and maintenance.

Identify and troubleshoot issues that may affect test performance or reporting.

Follow all regulatory guidelines (CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA).

Respond to client or internal inquiries professionally, including critical result reporting.

Participate in ongoing training, quality assurance, and safety programs.

Support regulatory inspections and maintain a clean, organized lab environment.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology.

OR previously qualified under 42 CFR 493.1433 (prior to March 14, 1990).

At least 1 year of clinical lab experience in high-complexity testing preferred.

Strong multitasking and communication skills.
