Compensation Range: $27.43 - $35.66
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of laboratory leadership and with limited latitude for independent judgement, this role prepares entry level Medical Technologists to meet the competencies required to perform specialized testing and support for the laboratory section. With supervisory oversight, this position performs complex technical assignments, which are broadly outlined and require theoretical insight and interpretation. Within the confines of license eligibility and limited permits, this position exercises a high degree of skill and judgment and an understanding of the principles and methodologies of laboratory science. An understanding of instrument maintenance/standardization, daily quality control and adherence to all policies (Hospital and Laboratory) is required. Communicates with internal and external clients clearly and professionally. Reports to work at assigned UR Labs location/site.
Responsibilities:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology required. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology with an advanced certificate in Medical Technology required. NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license eligible required. Limited Permit (submitted to NYSED) preferred.
