Medical Staff Performance Manager
Provides ongoing support and coordination; being a liaison between the Medical Staff, Medical Directors, and Administration. The position directs the ongoing credentialing/privileging process and other administrative functions for the Medical Staff, Medical Director, Administration, and Allied Health Professionals.
This position will be required to work on-site at least 3 days per week with flexibility to work remotely after training. The work location for this role is Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado.

Scope As a Medical Staff Performance Manager, you need to know how to:
- Provide leadership and direction for the Medical Staff Quality Program. The leadership role will direct and coordinate medical staff quality programs (medical staff peer review, disruptive physicians and medical staff issues).
- Coordinates outside medical staff reviews when requested.
- Directs, prepares and supports medical staff quality programs and process improvements (Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations, Focused Professional Practice Evaluations).
- Acts as an internal consultant for all levels of the organization with skills in facilitation, coaching, change management and process improvement.
- Also provides internal consulting with expertise in strategies, methodologies, and resources for maximizing the use of data for process improvement.
- Will also lead the Medical Staff Quality Program toward process improvement.
- This includes strategic planning and coordination of the program, team and project management and reporting to Medical Staff Leadership with measurable outcomes.
- Coordination of the program to query multiple databases for clinical, administrative, peer review and credentialing data.
- Applying statistical principles to calculate appropriate summary measures.
- Manages systematic collection and reporting of selected quality indicators.
- Prepares clear, concise, understandable tables and reports.
- Identifies and incorporates comparative and benchmark practices into reporting. Participates in interdisciplinary task forces, committees, and councils appropriately.
- Performs routine and intensive medical record audits.
- Aggregates, analyzes, displays, presents, and maintains physician specific quality data.
- Supports Medical Staff Committees as requested.
- Assist with continual evaluations and improvements of medical staff administrative procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and requirements, state and federal statutes, and Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and policies.
- This role supports Joint Commission preparation and continuous readiness.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in relevant professional field (e.g., healthcare-related, statistics) required and will be verified.
- Experience in the medical services profession required
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to TJC, CMS, State, and patient safety principles
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with physicians on quality initiatives or programs.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
- Understanding of team dynamics
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written, group presentations)
- Strong coaching, teaching, and facilitation skills
- Computer proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office or G Suite, and Internet use.
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Understanding of data management and analysis techniques
- Demonstrated experience with data mining, data analysis and data display.
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of the clinical environment
- Experience with participation in quality improvement teams desired
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree preferred
- CPHQ, CPCS, or CPMSM Certified preferred
- Clinical experience preferred
