Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Speech Language Pathologist, located in Bronx, NY. Flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) training is available. The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct evaluations and provide therapeutic services to patients with speech, language, and communication disorders, including dysphagia. They will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, keeping accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with CMS regulations. The role also involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals and caregivers to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proficient in treating aphasia, apraxia, voice and cognitive disorders
• Expertise in assessing and managing Dysphagia
• Strong documentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current licensure in the state of New York
• Certifications like CCC-SLP by ASHA are a plus
