The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will be responsible for aligning scientific expertise with organizational goals to support the commercialization and development of Tonix's product portfolio. The MSL will serve as a trusted clinical and scientific expert for Tonix products and pipeline assets across an assigned region. This field-based role focuses on cultivating and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), academic institutions, and patient advocacy organizations.
The MSL will be a key member of both the Tonix Medical Affairs team and the broader cross-functional field force. This role reports to the Director, Medical Science Liaison.

What will you be doing?
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and patient advocacy groups.
- Disseminate accurate and timely scientific information on Tonix products and pipeline assets.
- Organize and support scientific training, medical education, and conference engagement activities.
- Ensure appropriate documentation of HCP interactions and respond to unsolicited medical requests.
- Provide field insights and competitive intelligence to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure medical-scientific alignment with commercial strategies.
- Support clinical activities such as investigator-initiated research and academic research partnerships.
- Represent Tonix at scientific meetings and present therapeutic area data to various audiences.
- Maintain strong knowledge of therapeutic areas including neurology, fibromyalgia, and migraine.
- Ensure pharmacovigilance, product quality, and medical information are reported per SOPs.
- Support the development of scientific content, including slide decks and medical materials.
- Take accountability for the execution of the field medical strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
What do you need for this position?
- Advanced degree required (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, MS, APRN, PA, RPh).
- 5+ years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience, ideally with field-based or MSL background.
- Experience with product pre-launch and launch activities preferred.
- Background in neurology, fibromyalgia, and/or migraine is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with efficiency and autonomy.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards and industry guidelines (FDA, OIG, PhRMA).
- Data analysis experience and comfort working with clinical databases.
- Ability to travel 50% or more, including overnight travel as needed.
- Valid unrestricted driver's license required.
