Medical Laboratory Technician / Med Lab Tech, Full Time - Iredell Health System : Job Details

Performs a variety of laboratory tests, many of which involve numerous steps and techniques, and require use of professional judgment. Tests are performed in Blood Bank, Coagulation, Hematology, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Chemistry. Professional application of the theories and techniques of clinical laboratory science (including evaluation of quality control data) are used to produce reliable test results which aid the clinician in diagnosis and treatment. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities. Shift: M-F, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, every 5th weekend. Requirements Medical Technologist: Must have at least sixty semester hours of college with training in a certified Medical Technology training program. Must be currently registered or eligible by ASCP or AMT.
