Job Description :

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Lab Technician to support our client's medical facility in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 3+ month contract with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15220

Pay Range: $30-$35 per hour

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 3:00 AM-11: 30 AM

Duration: 3+ Months

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, handle, and process specimens accurately, following all laboratory protocols.
  • Conduct test analyses using approved procedures and review/release patient results.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient test results and quality control data.
  • Ensure proficiency testing is performed in the same manner as patient samples.
  • Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform and document instrument calibrations, maintenance, and quality control checks.
  • Identify and resolve testing issues or escalate them to a supervisor as needed.
  • Report critical test results to clients promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment; properly label and track reagents.
  • Participate in ongoing training, department meetings, and safety education.
  • Provide customer support by answering inquiries from clients or lab personnel.
  • Perform additional tasks and moderate-complexity testing as trained and directed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biology, or related science
  • OR Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
  • Experience:
  • 1 to 3 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
  • Skills & Attributes:
  • Ability to multitask and manage work priorities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with lab safety practices and equipment
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and compliance
