Job Description :

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client's medical facility based in Irving TX 75063. This is a 6-months assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Medical Lab Scientist

Location: Irving TX 75063

Pay Range: $37-$40 per hour

Schedule: Tuesday- Saturday, 1p- 9:30 pm(Central)

Duration: 6 Months +

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform specimen handling, processing, and test analyses by laboratory procedures.

- Maintain and document patient test results, ensuring adherence to established quality control policies.

- Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and review/release test results.

- Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety regulations in all aspects of testing and reporting.

- Identify and resolve issues impacting test performance or results, and document corrective actions taken.

- Ensure timely reporting of critical and STAT results to clients.

- Maintain accurate records of all testing performed and reagents/test kits used.

- Participate in departmental meetings, safety training, and any required regulatory inspections.

Qualifications:

Education:

BS in Medical Technology, or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology. Alternatively, previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433 (published in March 14, 1990).

Experience:

At least one year of clinical experience in high complexity testing is preferred. A minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience is required for candidates with a BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology.

Skills:

Ability to manage multiple tasks, collaborate with various departments, and provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.

Additional Information:

- The role requires the ability to follow detailed procedures and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.

- Attendance at monthly department training and safety sessions is required.
