Reports to: Director of LaboratoryESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerforms common testing procedures and reports test results.Performs instrument maintenance and calibration and troubleshooting.Performs quality control testing.Maintains supplies needed for performance of tests.Performs collections, clerical duties and administration.Responsible for order and result entry into laboratory information systems.Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of the patient servedQualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTSMinimum EducationAssociate degree from an accredited institution as a Medical Laboratory Technician; or equivalent inaccordance with the CLIA requirements RequiredMedical Lab Technician Trainee License is acceptable provided graduation from an accredited Medical LabTechnician Program has been completed and will test within 1 year of hire.Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
