Medical Lab Scientist/Medical Technologist - Hire on Incentive Eligible - Summa Health : Job Details

Performs variety of laboratory procedures under supervision, following procedures and instructions as outlined in procedure manual(s) using standard and specialized techniques, instrumentation and equipment on a wide variety of biological specimens to assist physician in diagnosis and treatment of patients. Exercise professional judgment in order to recognize, prioritize, and facilitate varying test requests and workload in efficient manner. Performs duties defined under CLIA role of Technical Consultant, Technical Supervisor, and General Supervisor if delegated. Formal Education Required:a. Bachelor of Science degree listing one of the required areas of study (Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science) if degree does not list area of study transcripts must be submitted for equivalency evaluation.
