Medical Director / Physician - Correctional Facility - Primary Care and Urgent Care

Our partner, a Correctional Facility located in Syracuse, NY, is seeking a Medical Director / Physician to join their growing team.

The role will be responsible for overseeing a team of Advanced Practice Providers (~70% clinical and ~30% administrative/nonclinical).

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, flexible start/end time

Compensation: $280,000-$310,000/yr, dependent on experience

Medical Director / Physician Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive medical examinations of new inmates
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team consisting of advanced practice providers, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, RN case managers, medical assistants, administrative staff, etc.
• Supervise and coach a team of advanced practice providers as they provide primary care and urgent care services
• Monitors all referrals to external health care facilities
• Oversee clinical staff development and performance

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Current, unrestricted license in the state of New York
• 2+ years of experience as a Physician, preferably within Corrections, Primary Care, Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine
