Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Medical Coder/ Athena Implementation Coordinator. The Medical Coder/ Athena Implementation Coordinator will be responsible for accurately coding medical procedures and diagnoses, implementing Athena software for electronic health records (EHR) management, and ensuring compliance with medical coding guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing clinical documents, assigning appropriate codes, collaborating with healthcare providers, assisting clients in going live with Athena EMR and training staff on Athena software usage.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Coding Experience and Medical Coding
• Possess RHIT certification and knowledge of Health Information Management
• Familiarity with Medical Terminology
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Athena EHR software
• Ability to work independently
• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field
