Overview: We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and skilled professional to join our team as a Call Center Specialist in a medical or hospital setting. This role plays a critical part in supporting Service members, Veterans, and their families by delivering high-quality, empathetic, and solution-focused support over the phone. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in triage, care management, motivational interviewing, and crisis counseling, and must be fluent in English and/or Spanish. This position requires strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage calls professionally, especially in high-stress or crisis situations. Final offers and start dates will be determined following contract award and government direction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • A minimum of one year experience in triage, care management, motivational interviewing, and crisis counseling
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a medical/hospital call center
  • Fluent in English and/or Spanish, both oral and written
  • Ability to handle inquiries and requests in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to listen to and empathize with Service members, Veterans, and others and acknowledge their concerns
  • Ability to gather information to determine a Service member, Veteran, or family member's needs, as well as apply problem-solving skills, and resolve the inquiry/request effectively
  • Ability to communicate information clearly, accurately, and completely
  • Ability to record all pertinent information accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to handle crisis and abusive calls in a professional and effective manner
  • Ability to control the pace and flow of the inquiry/request and manage call time effectively
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Solid technical knowledge and research skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and ability to multi-task
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, discretion, strong ethics
  • Team player, collaborative, able to work with all levels of the firm.
