Join our team as a Billing Coordinator and play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our billing processes.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the billing operations, including managing invoices, processing claims, and resolving billing discrepancies. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be essential as you work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and clients to facilitate timely and accurate payments. Responsibilities
  • Oversee the billing processes managed by a third-party billing company to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the submission of insurance claims and invoices to insurance companies and clients, ensuring that all claims are submitted promptly and accurately.
  • Review and analyze claim denials and rejections, investigate reasons for denial, and collaborate with the billing team to resolve issues and resubmit claims as necessary.
  • Work closely with insurance companies, clients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies, address inquiries, and facilitate timely payment of outstanding claims.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records, including patient demographics, insurance information, and payment transactions, in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
  • Utilize billing software and technology platforms to track claims, generate reports, and identify trends and patterns in billing data.
  • Implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle management, minimize billing errors, and maximize reimbursement for services rendered.
  • Proactively follow up on unpaid claims and outstanding balances, including initiating collections efforts when necessary to ensure timely resolution and payment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management, with a focus on mental health services or telehealth billing.
  • Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems, with advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to review and analyze complex billing documents and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid billing requirements.
  • Experience with collections processes and the ability to confidently pursue collections efforts to recover outstanding balances.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced virtual environment with minimal supervision.
  • Learn and be proficient in our EMR system.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive patient information.
