MEDICAL ASSISTANT - UGH Women's Health - Full Time - Union General Health System : Job Details

Responsible for assisting providers with evaluation, examination and treatment of patients and all follow up duties related to patient care. REPORTS TO: Office Manager and Practice Manager RESPONSIBILITES - Duties include but are not limited to: Daily:Reviews schedule of upcoming appointments to ensure charts are prepped and include necessary documents such as required labs, x-rays, medication list, consults, etc. Calls and assists patients from waiting area to back office for triage which includes but not limited to: weight, height, blood pressure, vision, hearing, pulse ox, EKG, labs, UA, question intake, medication review, etc. Reports any STAT findings to provider. Answers phone calls, emails, voicemails and returns patient calls in a timely and efficient manner. Documents all telephone conversations with patients and family members. Schedules referrals and outpatient testing and contacts the patient with the information pertaining to said appointment.
