Medical Assistant - Advanced Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation LLC : Job Details

Total Rehab LLC is searching for an organized, reliable certified Medical Assistant (MA) for its interventional pain management medical practice in Utica, New York. This is a full-time, non-exempt, position. The MA will be cross trained to cover various administrative and clinical tasks within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, professional and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: · Assist with obtaining applicable authorizations · Assemble patient charts, requisitions and consent forms · Update and file medical records and insurance reports · Assist with the collection and preparation of laboratory specimens, including completion of appropriate paperwork, as permitted by NYS law · Assist practitioners during routine office visits, outpatient procedures and other physical exams · Prep exam rooms for clinical procedures and assisting practitioners with patient care · Monitor and document patient symptoms for practitioners' review during clinical exams and procedures · Provide compassionate patient support and care, attention and assistance during office visits · Other duties as assigned PI7122f703cd52-25448-#######2
