Medical Assistant - Medix™ : Job Details

Job Summary The Medical Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our complex Medicare patients by assisting our mobile clinicians, who are conducting comprehensive in-home assessments. This position involves identifying healthcare needs, coordinating complex care plans, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes and enhance the quality of life for our members. Customer service skills are essential in this role. Key Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of the field-based clinicians.
• Communicate with a healthcare provider via messaging, video conference, and mobile device.
• Conduct patient assessment and monitoring inclusive of vital signs.
• Facilitate physical exams using a mobile device and perform other diagnostic tests and treatments as requested by a virtual provider, as permitted by state law.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain point of care laboratory equipment.
• Perform EKGs.
• Assist NP/PAs in the daily functions of a mobile care delivery.
• Document patient information accurately.
• Restock mobile care delivery supplies.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Proficient computer skills for electronic health record documentation.
• Strong customer service, communication, and technological skills.
• Cultural competency, with the ability to interact with patients and families and develop rapport and trust.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical setting.

Skills

• Technical skills including operation of mobile health devices.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Additional Requirements

• This role will require regular travel with the ability and willingness to travel locally and/or regionally.
• A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
