The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting the RT#s with clinical tasks #including, but not limited to, patient screening, patient changing and preparation for MRI exam. The Medical Assistant takes an active role in the efficient operation of the center and works collaboratively with the other clinical team members in the department to continually manage proper workflow and safety protocols. Will also perform phlebotomy duties as needed. Job Summary The Medical Assistant functions as a member of the patient care team, under the direction of Management, proficiently performs all aspects of the role. The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting the nurses with clinical tasks including but not limited to obtaining vital signs, shaving and prepping the patient, assisting with admission and discharge from post-recovery and for responding to the needs of patients and family members. The Medical Assistant takes an active role in the efficient operation of the center and works collaboratively with the other clinical team members in the department. # Essential Job Qualifications # Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.#Successful completion of a nursing or medical assistant training program preferred. Experience: A minimum of 2 years# experience working as a Medical Assistant or CNA preferred. Training/Certification: BLS Certification (AHA) #
