Medical Assistant - Renown Health : Job Details

The Medical Assistant is accountable for assisting the providers in front and back office procedures. The incumbent has the added responsibility of providing a direct liaison between provider and patient, making certain that any patient questions or concerns have been addressed by the appropriate provider. Medical Assistants working in a Medical Home medical practice setting will be an integral part of the patient s care team. They will work side-by-side with other members of the patient s care team, including healthcare providers and nurses. Medical Assistants in these settings will be required to do more during the rooming process; from reviewing medications, to goal setting, to patient education. They will also be expected to assist with the tracking and coordination of patient test results, with reminding patients of overdue health maintenance topics, and with assisting other members of the Medical Home Care Team in delivering optimal patient-centered care.
