Medical Assistant - Saratoga Hospital Medical Group : Job Details

Maintains an organizational system to aid in the smooth flow of patients in the clinical setting. This includes following established procedures, standards of care, and regulatory requirements as it applies to direct patient care in the outpatient (primary care or specialty) setting. Provides basic, direct patient care under the direction of a physician or mid-level provider. All care is provided in compliance with and according to departmental policy, which includes participating in medical and social history to assist in the assessment of patient need, and communicates with the health care team, as appropriate. Primary Job Responsibilities: Rooms patients, collects vitals, chief complaint / medical / social history. Breakdown, cleaning and set up of exam rooms to insure consistent patient flow. Assist with clinical inventory process. Delivers direct care and comfort care to satisfy the needs of patients.
