UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support the office in Monroeville.
\n
Clinical and injection experience preferred. Pediatric experience is a plus.
\n
Responsibilities:
\n
\n- Patient Care: Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, labs, and assist physicians with procedures. Document patient information and relay instructions.
\n- Clinic Operations: Prepare and clean patient rooms, manage inventory, and ensure infection control.
\n- Administrative Tasks: Schedule appointments, verify insurance, manage charts, and handle front office duties.
\n- Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and PA Department of Health regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality.
\n- Support: Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, and collecting specimens. Answer calls and provide patient education.
\n- Medication Administration: Administer injectable medication and vaccines under physician supervision.
\n
\n- High school diploma or equivalent.
\n- Prior pediatric office experience strongly preferred.
\n- Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
\n
\n
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
\n
\n- CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
\n
\n
\n- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
\n
\n
\n- Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
\n
\n
