Join our team as a Medicaid Program Specialist 1-2 and make a direct impact on the lives of Louisiana families. In this role, you'll use your knowledge of Medicaid programs and policies to help members access vital healthcare services. You'll work independently in the Louisiana Medicaid Eligibility Determination System (LaMEDS) to research cases, process applications and renewals, and provide clear, accurate information to members, potential members, and providers. You'll apply critical thinking, empathy, and cultural competence to every interaction, while contributing to the success of a high-performing call center. This role is a great fit for detail-oriented problem-solvers who enjoy helping others and want to grow their career in public service.
An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience substitution: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
