Medicaid Coordinator - TAL Healthcare : Job Details

Job DescriptionOur client, a large nursing home network, is hiring a Medicaid Coordinator. As a Medicaid Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our residents receive the benefits they are entitled to under the Medicaid program. Responsibilities Financial Interview for Medicaid application process Having resident/family sign authorization and order all documents related to application Order all documents and follow up with financial institutions File Medicaid application/conversions Follow up with case workers at DSS File for fair hearings and attend if necessary Budget corrections if necessary Yearly Medicaid recertification Social security, representative payee Requirements: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills and knowledge of Medicaid application processes Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Experience working with Medicaid applications and processes Knowledge of budgeting and financial management Familiarity with Suffolk County regulations and procedures High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as social services or healthcare Ability to commute to Suffolk County on a regular basis Must be able to pass a background check Salary: The posted range is not a guarantee.
