The New York City Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) works daily to enforce, educate, and outreach on the city's Human Rights Law. The Commission aims to address historic and current inequities to foster a city where everyone can live, work, and thrive free from discrimination.

Through training, education, and policy initiatives, the Commission seeks to eliminate discrimination. It identifies patterns through testing employers, housing providers, and public accommodations, and uses investigations, litigation, and enforcement tools to address discrimination allegations.

The Commission's Office of Mediation and Conflict Resolution (“OMCR”), revamped in 2017, has developed a voluntary mediation program providing a neutral, empowering process for parties to resolve claims efficiently and mutually. OMCR offers these services free of charge and is supervised by a Director of OMCR, reporting to the General Counsel.

The Mediation Program Attorneys will report to the Director of OMCR and ensure access to high-quality mediation services for the public.
