The Director, Media will architect and lead paid media strategies across all channels for our Lifestyle (Aéropostale, Nautica, Lucky Brand) and Iconic (Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer) brands. Reporting to the VP, Media & RMN, this role will oversee paid media efforts across full-funnel campaigns, ensuring media activations drive new customer acquisition, brand relevance, and business growth. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of leading breakthrough brand campaigns and connecting brands with new audiences in innovative and impactful ways.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Integrated Media Strategy: Develop and implement paid media strategies that deliver brand building and business performance across retail stores and ecommerce for multiple brands.

● Brand Campaign Leadership: Partner with brand leadership on the planning and execution of brand campaigns designed to drive relevance with new consumer segments, leveraging cultural insights and bold storytelling.

● Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of media professionals, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.

● Customer Engagement: Build media strategies that foster meaningful relationships with customers, driving engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value.

● Performance Optimization: Oversee continuous optimization of campaigns to maximize ROI and sustain long-term brand health using data-driven approaches and test-and-learn methodologies.

● Agency and Vendor Management: Manage agency partnerships to ensure flawless execution, deliver impactful media outcomes, and drive continuous innovation aligned with brand and business goals.

● Budget Ownership and ROI: Manage a multi-million-dollar paid media budget, allocating investments effectively to deliver against key brand and business KPIs.

● Analytics and Reporting: Collaborate with Analytics and Consumer Insights teams to establish measurement frameworks, analyze performance, and deliver actionable insights and executive-level reporting.

● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with brand marketing, creative, CRM, ecommerce, and merchandising teams to deliver integrated, customer-centric media strategies.

● Innovation and Test-and-Learn Culture: Champion a culture of innovation by testing emerging platforms, creative formats, and new media partnerships to maintain a competitive edge.

● In-Store and Ecommerce Synergy: Strategize omnichannel media efforts that seamlessly bridge digital and in-store experiences through targeted campaigns and location-based activations.

QUALIFICATIONS

● 8-12 years of experience leading media strategy and execution.

● Expertise across the full media ecosystem, including digital, social, programmatic, retail media, and traditional channels.

● Proven experience managing significant media budgets and delivering strong revenue and brand equity outcomes.

● Demonstrated success leading brand campaigns that drive engagement and acquire new audiences.

● Proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.

● Strong analytical skills with a track record of leveraging data for optimization and strategic decision-making.

● Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

● Bachelor's Degree required

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
