Position Overview

At Cox Media Group (CMG), our Media Consultants (MCs) prospect for new business, build innovative cross platform advertising solutions, execute effective marketing campaigns, and establish strong relationships and business partnerships in the community. All this, in one of the most enjoyable media environments around.

Our MCs report directly to the Integrated Sales Manager (ISM) for guidance, support, professional development and accountability. They collaborate with Sales Support Teams to leverage data that identifies consumer insights, sales strategy, and execution plans for cross platform (audio and digital) campaigns. With an internal advertising fulfillment team, MCs can see their campaigns firsthand and optimize in real time. CMG provides the tools and support for mutual success of sales staff and clients.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Identify and connect to maintain a full pipeline of qualified prospects.
  • Lead with insights and engage prospects in business conversations.
  • Uncover desired business results for each prospect and client.
  • Present solutions based on desired business results.
  • Discuss expectations and measurements to ensure ROI.
  • Create proposals for Sales leaders and clients.
  • Consult clients on CMG solutions, offerings, and demonstrate understanding of product capabilities, measurement, attribution, and KPIs.
  • Learn and sell integrated advertising solutions utilizing the full suite of audio and digital products.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals set by the ISM.
  • Increase revenue through new business development and upselling current clients.
  • Manage time effectively and handle complex work.
  • Maintain self-motivation and attention to detail.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of Sales experience.
  • Experience in prospecting, creating, and developing business.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
    • Preferred Qualifications
  • Digital/Media Sales experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
