Job Description :

Stanbridge University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Media & Events Assistant to provide administrative and logistical support to our Media and Communications department. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly organized, and comfortable working collaboratively in a dynamic, team-based environment. This role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of on-campus and off-campus events, marketing initiatives, and administrative projects. Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate basic email and phone communication for events, interviews, and other departmental needs.
  • Assist with event setup and logistics for orientations and other university functions (daytime and occasional nights/weekends).
  • Support production, printing, and installation of graphical materials.
  • Handle pickups and deliveries of marketing materials, event supplies, and gifts.
  • Assist with campaign and survey data collection, research, and reporting.
  • Perform general administrative duties including data entry, scanning, filing, and document management.
  • Help populate and update university social media platforms and related blog content.
  • Provide media and communications support to other departments and faculty as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Media and Events team on ongoing and ad-hoc projects.
  • Assist with special projects and administrative support as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to drive large vehicles such as sprinter vans, U-Hauls, and other company vehicles.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
Conditions of Employment:
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be physically present in the office (unless otherwise noted).
  • Employment verification will be conducted to validate work experience per accreditation standards.
  • Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

  • $21.00-$23.00/hr. Compensation is based on education and experience.
Work Environment:
  • Standard office/classroom/lab or clinical setting.
  • Duties are typically performed while sitting at a desk or computer workstation.
  • May include time spent in skills labs or bedside environments as required by the program.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions, noise from talking or office equipment, and demanding timelines.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly sits for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to perform program- or department-related duties.
  • Proficient in using electronic keyboards and office equipment.
  • Effective verbal communication via phone and in person.
  • Ability to read fine print, operate computers, and understand voices clearly.
  • Able to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing 10-25 pounds as needed.
