Mechanical Senior Project Manager

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects with a focus on mechanical systems. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management, preconstruction, and field operations ideally related to healthcare job sites

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience in mechanical contracting or related construction industries.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing industrial projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of preconstruction/design-assist experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects in healthcare, data centers, laboratories, higher education, and semiconductor sectors, with contract values ranging from $15M to $200M.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • Experience working on healthcare job sites is highly desirable.
Technical Skills

Proficiency in the following software is required:

  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Viewpoint
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of UMEC field personnel on assigned projects.
  • Oversee preconstruction, design-assist, and field operations.
  • Drive labor productivity, quality assurance, and project coordination.
  • Manage financial performance, including forecasting, reporting, and cash flow.
  • Handle material and equipment procurement, change orders, and client relations.
  • Lead personnel management and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Supervise and direct the work of assigned team members.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in business math and financial analysis.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Able to interpret instructions in various formats (written, oral, diagrams, schedules).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with employees, vendors, and suppliers at all levels.
