Job DetailsKey Responsibilities:Design and develop comprehensive mechanical HVAC systems for building projectsAssess existing site conditions and oversee project field measurementsCollaborate with clients to define project goals, resources, and requirementsPerform code analysis to ensure design compliance with applicable regulationsDefine and manage engineering scope, budget, and project scheduleCreate and coordinate Revit models using existing plans, surveys, and documentation in collaboration with project team membersPrepare engineering contract documents and calculations using CADD tools and HVAC design softwareSpecify appropriate materials, equipment, and system componentsReview and perform quality checks on technical documents for accuracy and coordinationDevelop project specifications and supporting documentationConduct material quantity take-offs and assist in preparing cost estimatesStay current with mechanical codes, standards, and best practicesReview and respond to construction submittals during the construction phaseConduct periodic site visits to observe construction progress and ensure adherence to design documentsQualifications:Minimum of 7 years of experience in the architecture/engineering industry, with a focus on mechanical (HVAC) designBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable combination of education and experienceLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of New York (required)Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD for developing mechanical HVAC systemsStrong working knowledge of the International Building CodeExperience in project management and/or team leadership is preferredU.S. citizenship required; applicants must be able to pass security background checks in accordance with client requirementsInterested in hearing more?
