The Department of Mechanical Engineering at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student-centered to teach all subjects related to Mechanical Engineering.

This is a general recruitment for a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw from as needed. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.

APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.

Required Qualifications

• MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least two years of industry experience in engineering, and demonstrated experience in the related field.
• Ability to document excellent academic preparation in Mechanical Engineering along with current industry experience.
• Proficiency with online teaching strategies and approaches may enhance an applicant's candidacy.
• Ability to interact and work effectively with a diverse student population, including first-generation college students.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience working with diverse populations and fostering an inclusive environment.
• Relevant work experience and professional capabilities.

Most needs are in Fall and Spring semesters. Appointments are typically for one semester, with salaries prorated based on the workload, ranging from approximately $6,608 to $7,465 per semester for a typical 3-unit course.
