Mechanical Engineer with Security Clearance - Insight Global : Job Details

An employer in Biloxi, MS is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in support of a federal contract the have over the next 7 years. In this role you will be responsible for:* Performs the design and development of the construction drawings and develops specifications for MEP systems for construction or rehabilitation of existing structures.* Evaluates projects to determine the most appropriate and economical systems to serve a facility.* Prepares original design and preliminary and final layout of MEP projects, including size, capacity, and economy.* Participates in final on-site inspection.* Performs contract related services such as writing scope of work, site surveys, contractor selection, negotiations, construction performance monitoring, product design, design review of internal and external A/E designs, and evaluation, inspection and acceptance of bids.* Prepares detailed independent government estimates
