Triple Cities Metal Finishing is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Mechanical Engineer to support our operations in the metal finishing industry. This role will focus on designing, improving, and maintaining mechanical systems and processes related to metal finishing, with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, and compliance. The engineer will work closely with the Director of Quality to ensure that all mechanical aspects of production meet internal and external standards.

Since 1945, TCMF has made innovative, as well as necessary changes in the way we conduct everyday business. From advanced surface preparation to highly technical finishing processes, we can handle the smallest pieces to large parts over 30 feet long.

Our three shifts of skilled professionals in our 125,000 square foot facility have made us the vendor of choice for metal finishing for Northeastern United States. Whether it is electroplating, electroless plating, wet paint, or powder coat, we finish it right the first time!

Position Overview

  • Design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems and equipment used in metal finishing processes.

  • Collaborate with the quality team to identify and resolve issues affecting product quality.

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality failures or process deviations.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and SOPs.

  • Conduct testing and validation of mechanical components and systems.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on process reliability and product quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • 1-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in metal finishing or manufacturing.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.

  • Experience working in a quality-focused environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Total Compensation Package

  • Wage

  • $62,000 - $70,000 (Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience)
