Direct Hire | Full-Time | Travel Required (up to 30%) Oxford Solutions is partnering with a leading industrial manufacturing group to hire a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in lime, cement, aggregate, or related heavy equipment environments. This is a direct hire opportunity with a focus on capital projects, systems design, and equipment optimization. Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with Operations, Process, and Project teams to develop and execute Capex projects, including scope, design, estimation, and specifications
  • Support root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and reliability efforts across mechanical systems
  • Review and approve work from external engineering consultants (P&IDs, GAs, RFQs, vendor drawings, etc.)
  • Assist with system troubleshooting, performance upgrades, and cost-effective repair recommendations
  • Contribute to design documentation including drawings, specifications, and operating instructions
  • Manage internal and external resources related to engineering projects
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and equipment reliability standards are met or exceeded
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Mining, Industrial, etc.)
  • 8+ years of mechanical or project engineering experience in a heavy industrial setting
  • Cross-discipline knowledge in civil/electrical is a plus
  • Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience completing RFQs, bid evaluations, specifications, and conceptual designs
  • Experience working with mechanical systems in lime, cement, aggregate, or major equipment manufacturing industries
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment: conveyors, crushers, kilns, fans, blowers, dust collectors, rotary systems, etc.
  • Familiarity with regulatory codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, MSHA, CEMA, AISC, OSHA)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, or similar 2D/3D design and modeling tools
  • Strong communication and project leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 30% (some international travel as needed)
